Ownership of Hindustan Times Hindi-
HT Media Limited is a subsidiary of The Hindustan Times Limited which is a subsidiary of Earthstone Holding (2 ) Limited. The KK Birla group owns a 69 percent stake in HT Media, now valued at $834 crore. When Shobhana Bhartia combined Hindustan Times in 1986, she was the first woman chief executive of a national paper.
Shobhana was nominated as a Rajya Sabha MP from Congress Party. Together with Hindustan Times, Hindustan times Hindi, HT Media owns Desimartini, Fever 104 FM, as well as the Mint newspaper.

History of Hindustan times newspaper-
S Mangal Singh Gill (Tehsildar) and S. Chanchal Singh (Jandiala, Jalandhar) were created in charge of the newspaper. K. M. Panikkar also is called Sardar Panikkar established the Hindustan Times as an Oxonian, historian, and litterateur, Panikkar should have expected to make his paper more than an Akali sheet. He became the editor and funds flowed freely from activist Akali patrons. He exerted himself strenuously, however, the newspaper made very little headway. In two years Panikkar couldn’t take the printing order any greater than 3,000. By then the Akali movement seemed to lose steam and funds dried up. The newspaper was saved from an untimely demise when Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya stepped into realizing his vision of a paper in Delhi.
Malaviya increased $50,000 rupees to Get the Hindustan Times Together with the help of nationalist leaders Lajpat Rai and M. R. Jayakar and industrialist G. D. Birla, who paid all their money. Birla took complete control of the newspaper in 1933. The paper is still owned by the Birla family.
It has its origins in the Indian independence movement of the first half of the twentieth century and even Confronted the noted”Hindustan Times Contempt Case (August–November 1941)” in Allahabad High Court.
